In what has to be a sign of my increasing decadence and appetite, I have added yet a third web browser to my computer. I’ve been using Firefox since it was in beta, and picked up Chrome some time ago, which I’ve been using as my primary browser because it’s a really fast, lightweight little guy. Today, while toying around with Firefox to try and give it the light, breezy feel of Chrome (allowing me to eschew Chrome once and for all), I stumbled upon (not via StumbleUpon) a Firefox-based browser called Flock. Flock is a browser designed around what has to be one of the main functions of the internet in 2008: Social Utilities. It’s a bonafide Web 2.0 browser, built on top of Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, digg, and all those other social dealies where I spend most of my time.
I’m giving it a run today, and it’s a little intimidating. This kid can do a lot.
