In the latest scientific discovery, it seems God works in mysterious ways.
Superman is a Saint
If Superman represents the greatness contained in all men and women, written upon our hearts by the very God we seek to serve, then we represent that that very greatness can be attained by anyone, that it is a fundamentally human goal, and indeed, is the very reason each and every one of us is here. John Paul II, another superhero, once wrote to our generation "Never settle for less than the moral and spiritual greatness of which you all are capable." Let's take those words to heart, and live our lives, in Christ, the very source and inspiration for us, who is indeed the greatest hero of all.

I think your probably right that this person should not have been executed, given that he seems like he may have been able to behave himself in prison, but I disagree with your flagrant dismissal of the necessity of the death penalty in some cases. Granted, “a death penalty regime” must go; but we should also be open to the fact that in rare cases some criminals are so uncontrollable and raged filled that it may be best and moral for use to end their lives as a way of self-defense, whether that be society as a whole, the rest of the inmates in prison, or merely the prison gaurds. It’s good to advertise your thoughts on this matter, but are you not in agreement that the death penalty may still be necessary in some cases?

Hey anonymous. First, you’re commenting on the wrong post.
Second, no, I was not flagrantly dismissing the death penalty. I acknowledge that there can be instances in which it is both appropriate and necessary; I dispute that this was one of those cases. In addition, I highly doubt such cases exist in the United States. We’re quite good at lockup.
As it stands, the philosophy should be that it is sometimes necessary, but never desirable, and should never be pursued first.
